As we all very well know, Cyprus faces a very serious drought problem. In order to raise school children’s awareness, Lanitis Bros, is sponsoring the Water topic of the Ministry of Education’s eco-Schools. 289 primary and secondary schools participate in this pilot program in which students are taught a wide variety of environmental issues. Sponsoring this topic included funding their water educational excursions such as visits to water damns, rivers, water museums, water boards etc. A big celebration event was organised on Planet Day with more than six hundred children participating.
