Water and environment protection

In addition to reducing the water we use in our bottling plants, we help protect local watersheds. Working together with government bodies, NGOs and others, we support conservation activities and raise public awareness.

We are working with the NGO CYMEPA and the eco-schools of the Ministry of Eductation on the water awareness topic of school children.289 primary and secondary schools participate in this pilot program in which students are taught a wide variety of environmental issues. Sponsoring this topic included funding their water educational excursions such as visits to water damns, rivers, water museums, water boards etc. A big celebration event was organised on Planet Day with more than six hundred children participating.

Our flagship programme is the award-winning Green Danube partnership, which is active nine countries through which the River Danube passes. We organise major celebrations of Danube Day each year, helping to make people aware of the importance of the river and its conservation.
